Child safety is foundational to Love Wild Rivers and TaleSeeds. This Child Safety Policy describes the safeguards, design principles, and governance practices we implement to protect children and create a safe, age-appropriate experience.

 

1. Commitment to Child Safety

We are committed to:

• Creating a safe, age-appropriate digital environment for children

• Minimizing data collection and protecting children’s privacy

• Preventing exposure to harmful, exploitative, or inappropriate content

• Ensuring parents or legal guardians remain the primary decision-makers

TaleSeeds is designed with a safety-first and privacy-first architecture, where children’s data is treated as highly sensitive and is not stored on Company-controlled servers.

 

2. Age-Appropriate and Privacy-First Design

TaleSeeds is designed with:

• Default child-safe settings

• No account creation or user authentication

• No persistent child profiles or identifiers

• No social networking, sharing features, or user-to-user communication

• No public content feeds or discoverability

All stories, images, and audio are stored locally on the device and are not stored on Company servers.

The Service limits inputs to structured formats to reduce the risk of unsafe or unpredictable interactions.

 

3. Content Safety and Moderation

We use layered safeguards to prevent unsafe content, including:

• Input filtering of all user-submitted text before processing

• Automated moderation systems to detect unsafe or inappropriate prompts

• Image safety scanning for all uploaded photographs before use

• Output filtering to reduce the likelihood of inappropriate story content

• Restricted topic categories and safety constraints

We do not allow:

• Sexual, violent, or exploitative content

• Hate speech, harassment, or abusive content

• Requests for personal identifying information from children

• Content designed to manipulate, frighten, or mislead children

While no automated system can guarantee complete prevention, our system is designed to significantly reduce risk through multiple layers of control.

 

4. AI Safety Controls

Our AI systems operate within a controlled and constrained framework:

• Story generation is structured and not open-ended

• Prompts and outputs are subject to safety rules and filtering

• The system does not allow unrestricted AI conversation or chat

We explicitly design against:

• Emotional dependency on AI

• AI presenting itself as a real person

• AI acting as an authority figure over the child

The AI is positioned as a creative storytelling tool, not a social or relational entity.

 

5. Parental Oversight and Control

Parents and legal guardians retain full control over the experience.

Parents can:

• Enable or disable personalization features (such as names or images)

• Review and manage all content created within the app

• Delete stories, images, and audio at any time

• Control access to settings through a child-resistant gate

Because the Service does not use accounts, all control is exercised at the device level.

All content remains on the device unless actively processed for functionality and is not retained by the Company.

 

6. Data Minimization and Local Storage

We apply strict data minimization principles:

• We do not collect personal data about children beyond optional, parent-provided inputs

• We do not store stories, images, or audio on our servers

• We do not maintain logs of story content

• We do not use analytics, tracking, or behavioral profiling

All generated content is stored locally on the user’s device and can be deleted at any time.

Deleting the application removes all locally stored data.

 

7. Staff and Vendor Responsibilities

We enforce strict safety and privacy standards:

• Service providers are selected based on privacy and safety criteria

• Data shared with third-party processors is limited to the minimum necessary

• No third parties are permitted to use data for advertising or profiling

We design systems to minimize exposure of any child-related content.

 

8. Incident Reporting and Response

If a safety or privacy concern arises, we will:

• Act promptly to investigate and address the issue

• Take corrective action to prevent recurrence

• Notify relevant parties where required by law
